Riley George

Assistant Market Manager

Serving as the Assistant Market Manager, Riley has a passion for community service and education. She completed her undergraduate degree in Business Communication and Journalism at Liberty University in 2021 and continued on to complete her Master’s Degree in Communication in May of 2023. She is excited to see the Lynchburg Community Market continue to serve Lynchburg and see it grow.

Growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Riley spent six years of her life working on a local farm, working in a multitude of roles such as management, kitchen, bakery, catering, farmer’s markets, and storefront. Moving to Lynchburg has been one of Riley’s favorite experiences as the culture proved to be very unique. Seeing the community come together every week at the Market to serve each other in physical product, produce, and quality time is something that Riley is passionate about.

In her time in Lynchburg, Riley has served as an intern for Patrick Henry Family Services, a mentor for aged-out foster youth at Impact Living Services, the Junior Editor for Top Doctor Magazine, and a Graduate Student Assistant (Teaching Assistant) at Liberty University. In her free time, Riley enjoys going to the gym, cooking, traveling, and volunteering in the foster care/adoption community.
